Clinical Psychologist, Supervised Practice
I am a clinical psychologist in supervised practice who provides both therapy and assessment services to children, adolescents, parents, and families. I strive to develop a deep, caring relationship with youth and their families as we work together on relevant and meaningful treatment goals. I utilize an integrative clinical approach drawing from various evidence-based treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, EFT/EFFT). I also take a culturally informed approach when working with youth and families of diverse cultural backgrounds.
I provide therapy services to youth who experience mood/anxiety difficulties, behavioural/emotion regulation challenges, and neurodevelopmental differences (e.g., Autism). I also provide parenting consultation and support to caregivers of youth with mental health needs. I have extensive experience providing support to caregivers of youth on the Autism spectrum. I also provide family therapy to support families struggling to foster healthy communication and families who are supporting a child with mental health challenges.
In addition to therapy services, I conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of children and adolescents, including assessments for Autism and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. I help families make sense of their children’s unique learning and mental health needs to best advocate for their children in school settings.
I completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Queen’s University and my predoctoral residency training at the Toronto Area Residency Consortium (OISE at University of Toronto). Currently, I hold a Postdoctoral Fellowship position in the Determinants of Child Development Lab at the University of Calgary. Prior to working at Young Minds Psychology, I held positions at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Toronto Catholic District School Board, Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board, Maple Family Health Team, Queen’s University Psychology Clinic, and the Family Psychology Centre.
