Life's challenges can be daunting, but you don't have to face them alone. I believe in a collaborative, compassionate, and respectful therapeutic relationship that nurtures self-awareness and connection to your inner strengths and values. Despite outward success and seemingly perfect lives, many of us struggle with inner turmoil that feels overwhelming. For this reason, I offer a warm, empathic, compassionate space for people to feel safe being emotionally vulnerable. My practice is driven by a collaborative, strengths-based, trauma-informed, harm-reduction framework, to help clients connect with their inner strengths, values and creativity, while building healthier relationships, and taking into consideration the social and cultural factors impacting each individual.
I have attained a Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto where my focus was on mental health and counselling. This led to clinical experience at SickKids Hospital and CAMH, working with children and transitional aged youth facing various mental health challenges. Since then, I have continued to build my experience and practice to working with adults. My work is influenced by an integrative approach utilizing varying therapeutic modalities including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness Strategies, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing Therapy. Together, we can work on managing difficult emotions, building resilience, and fostering self-acceptance. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, learn to set healthy boundaries, and cultivate a kinder relationship with yourself.
