Dr. Heather McLean is a Clinical Supervisor at Young Minds Psychology, providing supervision and clinical guidance to students and early-career clinicians.

Dr. McLean brings to this position several years of clinical and supervisory experience in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and families presenting with a variety of emotional, neurodevelopmental, and complex mental health difficulties. She draws from multiple evidence-based treatment modalities and works to empower and instill confidence in caregivers to take an active role in the treatment process. Dr. McLean has a particular interest in working with neurodivergent individuals and their families.

Dr. McLean has been working in private practice since 2022. Prior to that she held a staff psychologist position with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health division at Eastern Health (St. John’s, NL), and training positions at the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre (now SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health), Toronto and Hamilton-Wentworth District School boards, and in pediatric psychology clinics.
