Dr. Amanda Dyson

Ph.D., C.Psych.

Clinical Director

I have a particular interest in working with teens and parents to help them navigate the ups and downs of adolescence and emerging adulthood. Whether youth are experiencing mental health challenges or just need a safe place to express themselves and work through some things, I can help them, and their parents. I strive to build a strong relationship with each of my clients, and am dedicated to understanding their unique histories and current challenges to align treatment goals with the most effective interventions. I have extensive experience in a range of evidence-based treatment approaches and flexibly integrate these approaches to meet the specific needs of my clients.

In addition to my work at Young Minds Psychology, I am a supervising clinical psychologist with the Family Psychology Centre, providing clinical supervision for student and early-career clinicians.

I have held positions at Surrey Place Centre, The Child Development Institute, University of Toronto, Toronto District School Board, private practice, and McMaster Children’s Hospital where I worked with children, youth and their families with complex mental health difficulties.
