Ruxandra Filip
M.A.
Doctoral Associate
I am a PhD student in the School and Clinical Child Psychology program, at the Ontario Educational Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto.
I have always been passionate about working with children, adolescents, and their families, and supporting their socioemotional and cognitive development. This interest initially led to my first career path as an educator working at the International School of Brussels. At Young Minds Psychology, I focus on the caregiver-child relationship, and children’s emotional functioning.
Throughout my training I have focused on comprehensive psychological assessments of children and adolescents in various settings (e.g., Toronto District School Board, York Catholic District School Board, OISE Psychology Clinic, and Bright Lights Psychology Clinic). My primary therapeutic approach is cognitive behavioural.
